Matheus is our friend in Sao Paulo and a huge Hull City fan. Matheus will be writing for us about the World Cup. Here is his first blog;

The World Cup is almost here, and this text is to try to explain to you guys how the preparation of the World Cup is going here in Brazil.

We have less than a month to the start of the competition and some facilities are still not finished. However, there are those that think there should be a greater emphasis on improvements in the quality of our life, and some people are complaining that all the money that is going to be spent on the World Cup could been spent with new schools, hospitals and basic needs that some of us don’t have.
But I believe that everything will be ready when all of you guys around the world come to visit us! Or if they aren’t ready, they will look ready during the time that you will be here, after that we will face the real problems of this event. We have lots of problems in our country and lots of corruption. Brazil is one of the richest countries in the world, but with lots of social inequality.
But now I will speak of the good things, the security is being reinforced for the World Cup, so I don’t think that it will be a major problem here, and I do believe that you guys will find a huge party when you come over to watch the games! We will recieve every one of you with open arms and try to make you all enjoy the best of Brazil!
We will have lots of parties, games and events during the World Cup that I have no doubt will make your time here one of the best in your life. Brazil is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with a huge variety of options for you all to have fun, and you shouldn’t doubt when I say that we are the most receptive country in the world, even with our problems.
Once again I offer my help to any Tigers fan, or any one that’s planning to come to São Paulo to watch any game. My email is and please feel free to contact me if you need any tips about what to visit, where to party, where to stay…anything!
It's a pleasure working with everyone at TIGERLINK, and with any Hull City fan.
A hug from Brazil!

'We are a social media based Hull City AFC supporters group 'serving the Tiger Nation at home and abroad'. We also promote tourism and the economy of Hull and the East Riding. We hope to use Hull City's return to the Premier League as a platform to promote all things Hull and maximise the opportunities presented by the Tigers' elevation to the top tier.'
