AMY JOHNSON FESTIVAL

1 JULY 2016 - 31 MARCH 2017

2016 is the 75th anniversary of the death of Amy Johnson CBE. Amy was born in Hull in 1903 and was the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia.

The Amy Johnson Festival aims to celebrate Amy’s life, achievements and legacy with an ambitious international programme of the arts and engineering sciences appealing to all interests and ages.

We are particularly looking forward to ticking off as many 'Moths for Amy' as we can - these unique artworks are modelled on the hugely successful 'Larkin with Toads' project. There are 59 giant fibreglass moths at various locations and they wil remain in place until 31 March 2017.

You can find out more about Amy and the festival and also

download a festival programme and a moth guide at

And if you want a sneak preview of all of the moths together (they look amazing by the way) check out this section of the website amyjohnsonfestival.co.uk/moth-gallery/

Hull - UK City of Culture 2017

'We are a social media based Hull City AFC supporters group 'serving the Tiger Nation at home and abroad'. We also promote tourism and the economy of Hull and the East Riding. We hope to use Hull City's return to the Premier League as a platform to promote all things Hull and maximise the opportunities presented by the Tigers' elevation to the top tier.'
