HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE BRUCE

BIRTHDAY BOY TOM GETS HIS GOAL AS CITY HIT SIX PAST FULHAM
What a day! After a goalless first half the floodgates opened and City recorded their biggest ever Premier League win. And with Tom grabbing the fourth of the afternoon, he ran to the touchline (after celebrating with his team mates) and got a headstart on his haircut.

FA CUP THIRD ROUND DRAW
TODAY @ 4PM
Hull City will be ball number 20 in this afternoon's draw. We wonder if The Tigers will have a repeat of 1949 and draw Manchester United at home. A record crowd of 55,019 packed into Boothferry Park on February 26 1949 and saw United win 0-1 on the day.

HULL'S TIDAL BARRIER SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS CITY
FROM RECORD TIDE LEVELS OF 5.8 METRES
The Environment Agency are today reporting that Hull's tidal barrier protected 19,000 properties in the city from flooding. Yesterday's storm surge still caused disruption to parts of the city and outlying areas, as well as further up and down our coastline.
Our thoughts are with those homes and businesses affected by the flooding.
NAME CHANGE ISSUE LATEST NEWS
Today CTWD met Premier League Officials - here is the group statement on the meeting from the CTWD blog notohulltigers.tumblr.com/
'CTWD today met with officials of the Premier League to discuss our opposition to the current name change proposed by Dr Allam. A positive meeting concluded that:
The heritage of British football clubs is valued by the Premier League as a fundamental element of its brand;
Any material changes to that heritage and brand should be done in consultation with supporters and wider stakeholders in football; and
The Premier League is prepared to approach the Football Association to discuss how these important matters can be protected within the framework of their respective rules.
As the organisers of the competition and the gatekeeper of the rules under which the competition is held, the Premier League and Football Association are effectively the regulators of the football industry. The Premier League recognises this role and will emphasise this in their future dealings with Hull City AFC.'

Hull - UK City of Culture 2017
'We are a social media based Hull City AFC supporters group 'serving the Tiger Nation at home and abroad'. We also promote tourism and the economy of Hull and the East Riding. We hope to use Hull City's return to the Premier League as a platform to promote all things Hull and maximise the opportunities presented by the Tigers' elevation to the top tier.'
